The Hobbit - Miniature Models
Our team had the utmost privilege of working on Peter Jackson’s fantasy epic ‘’The Hobbit’’ trilogy. The 2012 prequel to the legendary Lord of the Rings trilogy gave us the opportunity to experience the holy grail of fantasy model making, Tolkien lore. Working under the production design of the nonpareil Dan Hennah, our team were involved in creating over 250 miniature set pieces for the films. Used in conjunction with visual effects the models became the backdrop for many of the fantasy sets that could not be built in full scale. Notable sets we were involved in making include The City of Dale, Lake Town and Goblin World.
